The Central Florida Striders inaugural 5K on September 21st was literally smokin! The event decorated with a thick fog and took place on the first cool morning of the year. It was a really fun event and I can’t wait for the next one.

It was a dark and foggy Dowden road that greeted runners in Orlando for this event. The fog lasted until after the awards ceremony. Dutch & Martha Johnson provided the music, Mark Dickieson came down from Tallahassee to watch his son finish 2nd overall and Mark provided Mona Vie vitamin supplement drink, Michelle Hibbard represented Z. Buttar events and first time race director James Dexter pulled off a flawless race with the help of Dex and Nadine Dexter, Bethany Barnhorst, Jo Lichten, Wendy Carson, and Nancy Gregg.
